Sitting in the airport again. Off to Sasebo this time. Been spending alot of time on Google+ as of late. Still not sure if it will be a alt to facebook or just die out like buzz. I am enjoying the close knit feeling it has right now, but that is because everyone else is on FB. Time will tell.

So here is the problem statement from EA's EULA.

Well my boys over at Valve really seem to be on their game. I was so happy with the Portal 2 launch and the puzzle "Potato" game they set up and we all played. It was a blast, and in the end we did get the game released early on steam. What fun. Well Done Valve. Now if other gaming companies could get there ideas together we might have something. Look at Valve, they are doing what we want, not what will make them the most money. Come one EA, Activision, get your s%!t together.

Not sure if this is right, but is my Dad getting grumpier and grumpier each year? He is trying to not be grumpy, but how many times do I have to hear "turn off the lights if you are not using them". Or " shut the door you are letting all the AC out". Got to love him, he does not give up very easily.

Well Kazu just left. He dropped off his loot for this year. I must say I did well. He grabbed me a Sony Rolly. Sweet unit. I did have some issues because it is only supported by a Japanese OS. I did some poking around and found everything I need to get the thing working right. Can upload music now and the blue tooth function is working so I can broadcast tunes to it from my MAC. Still cant seem to find a replacement for the Motion part where you can make it dance the way you want. Not a big deal for now, but will have to work out that piece soon. I cant stand to have something I cant do with software. Only thing I still need to find out is. . . what to do with it. Take it to work? Maybe the only place for it. It sure will not last long in my house with my kids.

Tomoko gave me my iPod Touch tonight. and all I can say is Wow!. NICE! going to have some fun with this unit over the next few years.

So here we are. Dec 20th and counting.

I was watching TV with my Wife and daughter Emily. There was a iPod Touch ad and I said "I hear that they are not that good". My wife and daughter said nothing. I thought nothing of it until the next day. My wife and I took the day off and went around Yokohama doing what ever we wanted. We ended up at Costco (yes, I know, very romantic). On the drive there she was saying she wanted to tell me what my gift was. I said No, I want to have at least 1 thing I am surprised about on Christmas morning. She said she was thinking of taking it back. I said no again and told her not to worry about it. We get to Costco and I see the iPod Touch and look at them because even thought I heard that we not very good, I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE. Well I start thinking, should I get one? BLAM, it hits me. This is my christmas gift. I look at her and said "You got me a an iPod Touch right"? She freezes, looks at me, and mutters "yes". I start laughing "Nice". Great gift! I am excited to get it. She does not believe me because of my comment during the ad on TV. Even better, my wife tells me that after the TV ad, my daughter asked her if I don't want the iPod Touch, can she have it. We laughed about this for the rest of the day.

So here I am at my alternate site again and I am talking to Matt who is a tech down here. Some of Matt's thoughts are just . . well. . . Out there.

Matt: You know they should just build some sweet ass router shit. Only problem is they would have to build some training for it also.

OK, so all I can think about is Matt sitting around a huge conference table at Cisco with all these guys that make over 1 Mil a year and he says "Sweet Ass Router Shit".

Then I think Training. WTF? So you can't build anything unless there is a training piece that goes with it.

Corp Guy: What, you have invented the first fully functional network firewall device that requires no configuration. Wait, we cant do that! Where is the training? We have to require training. We all know that most of our profit each year comes from training.

December Update.

Been busy for a while so I have not been able to update my blog. So here is a blast.

Next week I am off to Sasebo with Tim for a site survey. What that really means is beer drinking sleeping late. Only problem is my boss has decide to go also. Will have to make sure he get's really drunk each night so he thinks twice about going with me next time.

Christmas is just about done. Looks like we have all our presents bought for the kids. It's going to be a good Christmas for them this year. They finaly get a TV in thier room which means they will no longer be in Mom and Dad's room to watch Disney channel. I also bought them a Wii for thier room. Like I said, Good Christmas.

The update to Eve Online looks GREAT. I am finaly in my new Corp, Dark Star Indistries. Let's hope Rodney is right and I can start making ISK with this group.

Also been Playing Call of Duty 4 with my real online group AWG. Wonderful game. May be the best Online FPS I have ever played.

Valve and Steam

I am a bit pissed off right now. I have had my Steam account for as long as Steam has been up and running. Last week when I had a hankering to play TF2, I got the password unknown prompt when I tried to log in. WHAT?. . So I go through the support web site, fill out the information they need and send it off. . . . . . . I AM STILL WAITING! I think the Orange Box is GREAT, but I cant play. The forums said I may have had my account hijacked. Not sure how, I have been doing this computer stuff for a LONG time.

Come ON Valve. Hook a brother UP!

Some people may think bad of me but I really do not care what others (who do not know me) think. I put, what I think is a fun video (see below), up on Youtube. If you go the the link and start to read some of the stuff people say about the video, you will start to understand WHY I do not care what people think about me.

The truth is my daughter was having a blast. She wanted me to push her. We were having fun. I edited the video to make it look worse that it really is. I think I was sucessful, just read the comments. For thoes of you who view it and still think bad of me. Remember this. It's the Internet. NOTHING IS REAL!
